حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ حُجَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَسْتَشْرِفَ الْعَيْنَ وَالْأُذُنَ.
It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded us to check the eyes and ears [when selecting an animal for sacrifice]
